Alfred Wegener's biography.
Alfred Lothar Wegener was born in Berlín in 1880, and he died in Greenland in 1930. He was a scientific, lorry driver and meteorologist. He's famous because he developed the theory of drift continental. In 1906 he went to Greenlad to study the wind in polar zones. In 1914 he was drafted into the Germay army and he left his scientific activity. In 1924 he accepted the chair of meteorology at the University of Graz, Austria. Wegener discovered that Earth's tectonic plates move causing continental drift. According to this theory 200 million years ago there was a supercontinent called Pangea, which broke and led to the continents of today
